31 March- 2018: Trek To Debuche

Saturday the 31st.

Our departure from Namche is a tough punch. But then we have a long, relatively flat hike up to lunch. Different group members are breaking out in song and having a good time! After a full lunch and a little extra time to let food settle, we begin the uphill work into Tengboche. This is a hard chunk but we all make it well by going “slow and steady”.

We visit the ancient monistary but the lama and the brotherhood are elsewhere for ritual purposes so we do not observe 3pm prayers.
A brief downhill to the Rivenedell lodge in Deboche where all enjoy showers, food and rest.
